Getting Started as an SOSComplete! Advertiser

Here is the great news!

You will never, ever incur any start-up costs when you advertise your digital products on the SOSComplete! Network. Why? Because it is ABSOLUTELY FREE to advertise an unlimited number of products to our network. Within a couple of days, you can have thousands of zealous Affiliates acting as your personal high powered maketing team. Below are the steps which you need to take to get started:

1. Create an account with SOSComplete!

Prior to creating an account with SOSComplete!, please read the SOSComplete! Client Agreement, Advertiser Requirements, Digital Product Requirements, Accounting Policy of SOSComplete!, and Return and Cancellation Policy. Thereafter, you can sign up for a free SOSComplete! account here.

2. Create a "Sales Page"

In order to sell your products through SOSComplete!, you will first need your own website, complete with a domain name and hosting. Please keep in mind that free web hosting plans are not permitted, and that you are completely responsible for the design, development, hosting, and maintenance of your website. SOSComplete! does not provide assistance in these areas.

A Sales Page is the commercial for your digital product. This is the page which you will use to describe your product, and persuade visitors to buy it. When a visitor is ready to become a buyer of your product, they click on an SOSComplete! payment button on your Sales Page. This will take them to a secure SOSComplete! payment form where they can complete their order. In addition to the SOSComplete! payment button, your Sales Page must include the following:

i) A complete and accurate description of the digital product;

ii) The price of the digital product;

iii) If you have a recurring billing product, please clearly and accurately state the initial charge, plus all of the details of the rebill timetable, including the frequency and number of times of rebilling. For instance, you should tell the buyer, "Your initial charge is $34.95. You will then be charged $14.95 per month, for the next 11 months."

iv) You should also clearly state the file format of your digital product, in addition to any operating system or software required to use your product (ie. Windows XP, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).

v) If your product is geo-specific, and therefore only useful to an individual in a particular region or country, this should be clearly stated at the top to your Sales Page.

vi) How and when the product will be delivered (eg. immediately via direct download, within 5 minutes via e-mail).

vii) If you have a recurring billing product, you should clearly state how, when, and how often the product will be delivered. (eg. E-mailed on the 15th of each month).

*Note: All statements which are made on your Sales Page must be made in accordance with, but not limited to, the SOSComplete! Client AgreementDigital Product Requirements, and Return and Cancellation Policy. In addition, all state, federal and international laws must be strictly complied with, including but not limited to, United States Federal Trade Commission policies, regulations, and guidelines governing advertising, disclosure, and consumer protection. These regulations can be found at www.ftc.gov.

3. Create a Payment Link

The payment link for your product will be provided to you by SOSComplete!.

4. Create a "Thank You Page"

The "Thank You Page" is the first page which customers will see after making a purchase. Customer will only be forwarded to the "Thank You Page" if their transaction has been successfully processed and approved. Your "Thank You Page" must include the following information:

i) A prominent reminder to customers that SOSComplete! will show up as a charge on their credit card statement, rather than the name of your specific digital product. This will help to prevent returns and charge-backs, as customers often do not realize that SOSComplete! is processing their purchase.

ii) A functional e-mail address which is prominently displayed, so that customers can contact you for technical support. Please note that SOSComplete! does not provide technical support.

iii) Complete and accurate instructions on how to download or access the digital product. If download or access is not immediate, you must provide information regarding how and when the product will be delivered. (eg. within 5 minutes via e-mail).

iv) For recurring billing products, please state the rebill schedule. (eg. E-mailed on the 15th of each month).

5. Login to SOSComplete! and Create Your Offer

There is no limit to the number of offers which you can create on the SOSComplete! Network. Categorize and manage an unlimited number of campaigns, at various affiliate commission rates. Submit the offer to our network, and we will generate tracking links for Affiliates to start marketing your offers. An Affiliate can retrieve the specific tracking link, and begin promoting your offer as soon as it is active.

Creating an offer on the SOSComplete! Network is simple, and you can add offers to our network at any time. Just following the steps below:

i) Login to your SOSComplete! Account.

ii) Place your cursor over the "Offers" tab, and select "Create Offer".

iii) Create a name for your offer. This name will be displayed to our Affiliates, our network, as well as in reports. Please make sure that you name your offers appropriately, paying close attention to capitalization and punctuation.

iv) Provide an Offer Description. The Offer Description is a brief but intriguing introduction of your offer. The Offer Description  is used by our Affiliates to help them in making more informed decisions about the offers which they choose to promote.

v) Provide a Preview URL. The Preview URL is the basic sales page without geo targeting. This allows affiliates to preview a sample sales page for the offer they are considering promoting, without skewing your statistics. Affiliates are shown the Preview URL and allowed to preview the offer.

vi) Provide a Creative URL. The Creative URL is the actual URL which potential buyers will be redirected to. This link is to a specific sales page, and will include your tracking information, along with any other tracking variables.

vii) Once you are satisfied with the offer which you have created, scroll to the bottom of the screen, and click "Add Offer".

6. Advertiser Conversion Pixel

After you create your offer by clicking "Add Offer", you will be prompted to view the Advertiser Conversion Pixel. The Advertiser Conversion Pixel is used by the advertiser to track conversions (sales) for an offer. Prior to your offer going live, the pixel must be placed on the "Thank You Page" of your corresponding offer. Recall, the "Thank You Page" is the first page which customers will see after making a purchase, thus confirming that the sale has been approved and processed.

You must place the Advertiser Conversion Pixel on the Thank You Page, near the opening body tag.

7. Testing Offers

When an Advertiser creates an offer, its status is set to "Pending". Pending status allows the offer to be tested as if it were active, prior to the offer beinging visible to our Affiliates.

SOSComplete! will only change the status of an offer from "Pending" to "Active", and thus visible by our Affiliates, once we are able to confirm that the Advertiser Conversion Pixel has been placed on the "Thank You Page".

Advertisers who are unsure whether or not conversion tracking pixels were loaded are encouraged to use Firebug for FireFox to see if conversion tracking pixels were loaded.

8. Testing Your Payment Link

The testing of your payment link will be conducted by SOSComplete!. Prior to your advertisement going live, your payment link will remain in the testing stage. This will allow SOSComplete! to run a simulated transaction for your product. Once it has been confirmed that your simulated transaction has been successful, your payment link will be moved from the testing stage to the active stage. At this point, your payment link is ready to process live transactions.

9. Product Approval

Once you have completed all of the steps above, including all tests, you are now ready to submit your product for approval. In order to request approval, please submit the following to Product Approval:

  1. Your "Offer Name".
  2. Whether your product is a one-time billing or recurring billing product.
  3. The suggested price of your one-time billing digital product, subject to SOSComplete! approval. (If one-time billing product).
  4. The suggested initial price and rebill price, subject to SOSComplete! approval. (If recurring billing product).
  5. The Affiliate Commission Rate.
  6. The website address (URL) of your "Thank You Page".

10. Get Ready For Lift Off

After we have verified that your product is ready to go, it will become "Active" on our network, and visible for Affiliates to promote.
